Rural government schools in Nepal are often severely under funded and in many cases do not have the funds to provide sports facilities or equipment. Extra curricular activities are essential for a child to receive a balanced education. Sports activities can play an important role in developing a child's confidence, teaching the importance of working as a team and providing a welcome break and incentive for children to attend school. Your support with this project will provide a whole school of children with access to equipment needed to take part in a wide range of popular sports in Nepal. Cost Breakdown All items are bought in Nepal; to reduce costs and to support the local economy. All costs are therefore given in Nepalese Rupees. JustAid is currently using an exchange rate of £1 = 120 Nepalese Rupees. Every year 35,000 children still lose their lives due to diarrhea. 76% of adult females are illiterate.
