Establishment of library and study room Ref: 228 Where is this project needed? Chitwan, Nepal Who needs help with this? Rastriya Primary School, Brhamapuri, Chitwan How will my support help? There are 84 boys and 66 girls studying at this rural primary school. The students have shown great initiative and motivation to learn and they are eager to open their own library. The school currently relies heavily on their standard textbooks but recognise that the children should have access to a wider range of information to improve and enrich their learning experience. However, the school is severely under-funded and has only limited funds to establish a library. The school is able to provide a room for the library, as well as benches, desks and one bookshelf and so it is now just the books and additional shelves that are needed. Your help with this project will allow the students to establish their long sought after library, providing a whole school with the opportunity to broaden their education and gain access to a wider range of information.
