Boundary fencing needed to improve the sanitation of a secondary school Ref: 239.00 Where is this project needed? Chitwan, Nepal Who needs help with this? Paras Secondary School, Parasnagar How will my support help? There are almost 1000 students studying in this government school in Nepal. There have been significant improvements to the facilities and the students are beginning to enjoy an improved learning environment. However, the school is currently on an open piece of land and is regularly disturbed by outsiders as well as cattle during school time, which is making the environment dirty and unsanitary. The other problem faced by the teachers is that it is difficult to keep the children within the school grounds at playtime. The local community have agreed that this is a vital project but they are a poor community and they are unable to raise the funds needed. They are able to contribute the labour required but they need outside support with the cost of the materials. Your support with this project to erect a fence around the school will significantly improve the schooling environment for all of the students.
