Community Groups |
| |
|
| |
Community groups are the key to the success of JustAid's work. These groups are formed by members of the actual community in need and so are best placed to identify their most pressing issues.
|
| |
|
| |
Identifying the necessary projects involves a fair and open process to assess how best to meet the needs of their own community. Community groups show their commitment to the projects by contributing what they can towards them, either financially or through the provision of materials or labour. Community groups also plan the maintenance of projects, thus ensuring longer-term sustainability. |
| |
|
| |
In most cases, the project is ‘ready to go' once the funds become available from a donor. Once the project has been completed, the community group will write a Project Report.

Partner Charities |
| |
|
| |
JustAid's Partner Charities work directly with communities in the developing world. Partner Charities are run by local staff and have established networks of community-based organisations. They work with these groups to ascertain the required needs and how best to address these needs. Partner Charities are committed to empowering communities to take ownership of the changes made in their community.
|
| |
|
| |
Partner Charities translate projects into english and send these to JustAid. They also translate and forward project completion reports to JustAid. All communication is by email. Partner Charities also manage the monitoring and reporting of projects, thus providing assurance that donors' funds are being used effectively.
|
| |
|
| |
Partner Charities are well-established charities with extensive experience of working with communities in need. They have hands-on experience of identifying the communities for whom aid would be most beneficial, and are experienced in facilitating community participation at every stage of a project. Through our Partner Charities' expert understanding of community issues, JustAid can be sure that we are supporting communities in the most positive way we can.

JustAid |
| |
|
| |
JustAid's website has been developed using state of the art e-commerce software. JustAid is constantly updating the projects on the website as they are received from our Partner Charities. JustAid is committed to providing donors with detailed information about projects so that donors can fully understand the issues and needs of a community and thus make an informed choice. |
| |
|
| |
Donors can browse through the project List, refining their search by cost of project/type of project/country. Once a project has been selected, the JustAid website provides the mechanism for safe and efficient online payment using a secure HSBC gateway site. All banking charges have been kindly wavered by HSBC, helping JustAid to maximise every donation made. |
| |
|
| |
The costs for running JustAid are funded independently, which allows us to transfer 100% of project donations directly to Partner Charities who work with the communities to implement projects. If you would like to support the running costs of JustAid, please click here. |
| |
|
| |
Once a project has been completed, JustAid receives a project report, which is emailed to the donor. |

Donors |
| |
|
| |
Donors from all over the world are able to support individual development projects by viewing current Projects on the JustAid website and donating online.
|
| |
|
| |
Donors can make informed choices about how they help. Donors then receive feedback once their project is completed so that they can see exactly how their support has helped.
|
| |
|
| |
Donors may be individuals or groups of people. There are various ways of giving, including supporting a whole project yourself, giving a project as a gift or starting up a fundraising webpage for a chosen project. See Ways of Giving. |
