Communities living in this remote area who currently have no access to a dental facility How will my support help? This is a very remote area of Nepal and this project will help people who currently have no access to a dental facility. At present, if someone develops a serious dental condition, they must travel to Kathmandu to have it treated. However, this is very costly for these families who have very limited income and so in many cases, no treatment is given. This project will organise a 3 day dental health clinic that will visit some of the poorest communities in this area. In this way, a large number of people whose dental problems would otherwise go untreated will have the opportunity to receive treatment from a fully qualified dentist. Untreated, toothache causes unnecessary pain and can lead to permanent dental injury. Your support with this project will ensure access to this essential facility for communities living in remote areas of the country. Cost Breakdown All items are bought in Nepal; to reduce costs and to support the local economy. All costs are therefore given in Nepalese Rupees. JustAid is currently using an exchange rate of £1 = 120 Nepalese Rupees.
