| Who we work with
| JustAid works with locally-run organisations, as we believe
that they are in the best position to liaise with communities in need. |
| Every organisation with which JustAid works in partnership
must meet certain criteria. These include: |
A similar commitment
to the ideals of JustAid, including the commitment to community participation,
transparent accounting and organisational workings |
Well-established existing links with
communities and community-based organisations |
Ability to run operations with the
minimum of administrative costs |
Extensive experience in the field of
development and good track record of project work |
Audited accounts and membership to
a government registration system. |
We currently work with Partnership for Sustainable Development (PSD) whose founders we have known for over 10 years. PSD is an extremely effective organisation that combines expert knowledge in the field of development with commitment to integrity and transparency. This has made for a strong and successful partnership with JustAid.
PSD carries out all administrative duties with regard to our partnership on a voluntary basis. All projects include an implementation cost, which covers the exact costs incurred by PSD for implementing the project, such as transportation fees. These are costs that PSD would otherwise have to bear. |
If you would like to make a contribution toward the running costs of PSD, this would be warmly received. As an organisation, PSD operates on a very tight budget, yet manages to maintain a high level of expertise. Without this, JustAid would not be able to support communities in rural Nepal with the same level of confidence. Please contact Jodie Hawkey at info@justaid.org.uk for further information about how you can support PSD. |
